HydroServices is well equipped to carry out an extensive range of soil moisture measurement tasks. We use Campbell Pacific Nuclear neturon probes for measuring soil moisture. The computer, processing and analytical software is commensurate with the high quality instrumentation.
The soil moisture measurement and associated irrigation management services(s) are primarily used by irrigating growers, vineyards, or orchards and horticulturists to determine irrigation requirements of their crops, grapevines and fruit trees. The same measurements are also available to and used by Crown Research Institutes, Grain and Seed companies and Food Processing companies in their field trials and also the Foundation for Arable Research. The measurement techniques can be and are used to monitor irrigation and wastewater.
The soil moisuture measurements are direct, i.e., no laboratory, computer or office manipulation is required. The soil moisture is measured in the area or location desired by the client or deemed to be the most representative of the area.
