Seasonal Positions in Christchurch and Ashburton 

HydroServices provides soil moisture monitoring and irrigation management advice to growers throughout NZ.

We are currently looking for suitable people to join our Christchurch and Ashburton Branch. The successful applicants will be required to help install aluminium tubes into soil using a motorised auger or breaker hammer. You will also be required to monitor soil moisture using a neutron probe and provide scheduling advice to our farming clients on a regular basis. You will be assigned tasks as part of a team, with a strong support network to help.   Experience with operating small motors and a farming/horticultural background is an advantage. Full training is given.

The start dates for these positions are negotiable between 3rd of September and 1st of October 2018 and finishing late March to late April 2019.

HydroServices provides soil moisture monitoring and irrigation management advice to growers throughout NZ.

We are currently looking for suitable people to join our Hawkes Bay Branch. The successful applicants will be required to help install aluminium tubes into soil using a motorised auger and/or rock spike. You will also be required to monitor soil moisture using a Neutron Probe and provide scheduling advice to our farming clients on a regular basis. You will be assigned tasks as part of a team, with a strong support network to help. There will be regular out of town travel and some overnight stays required.  Experience with operating small motors and a farming/horticultural background is an advantage. Full training is provided.

There are two positions available with start dates for these positions negotiable between mid-October and mid-November 2018 and finishing mid-February to late March 2019.

Vacancy Central Otago

HydroServices provides soil moisture monitoring and irrigation management advice to growers throughout New Zealand.

We are currently looking for a skilful person with horticultural or agronomy expertise to operate our Central Otago Branch. The successful applicant will be required to carry out soil moisture monitoring and provide irrigation management advice in the Cromwell, Alexandra and Roxburgh areas.

The position is 35–40 hours/week for the irrigation season October-April incl. You will be required to work independently, strongly supported by our company network. Full training is given. Potential exists for a motivated employee to expand the service beyond the current situation.

Outside the irrigation season there will be an option to work on a major vineyard, providing year round employment.
