Sarah Hayman, MWaterRm & BSc (University of Canterbury) joined HydroServices as a Student Field Technician during the 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 irrigation seasons. Since July 2016 she joined the team as a full-time Research Scientist.
Sarah is involved with carrying out data analysis for compliance and maintaining quality of water management data for clients. She also oversees the development and operation of our myirrigation.info website and helps with field services including soil moisture monitoring and water meter verifications.
Sarah also has some background with Farm Environment Plans and Overseer nutrient budgets and is currently working towards her nutrient management certification.
Hamish Maxwell, BComAg (Lincoln University) joined HydroServices as a Field Technician during the 2015/2016 and the 2016/2017 irrigation season. Since May 2017 he has joined the full-time as an Irrigation Management Technician.
Hamish grew up in North Canterbury and has a variety of on farm practical experience across different farm systems, including; Dairy, Sheep & Beef, Deer and Cropping.
Hamish carries out site installations for soil moisture measurement, irrigation monitoring, soil moisture calibrations, irrigation evaluations and day-to-day field operations.
Olivia Cranney, MSc & BSc (University of Canterbury), joined HydroServices as a Field Technician during the 2016/2017 irrigation season. Since March 2017 she has joined the team as a Research Scientist.
Olivia continues to assist with field services including soil moisture monitoring, aquifer testing, and research trials. She also carries out data analysis and processing for consulting projects.
Olivia is involved with Consenting and Farm Environment Plans, and is currently working towards her Overseer nutrient management certification.
